Raster walks in to the Meeting Room exactly on the dot. It's good to have the mainframe in your head. Or is he in the mainframe's head? Doesn't matter, he supposes.

Noting the CO spinning, Raster notes wryly that boredom doesn't become him.

The Commodore stands and offers his oldest friend his hand.
He says, "Welcome back old man."
He continues, "Thank you for setting up the new ship for 'our kind of missions'.
Hr gestures to the seats in front of his, "Take a load off ... I hear the shuttle ride from New Boston Yards in taxing."

Raster nods, and grins and pulls a Riker Maneuver over the chair. Given his Highlander height, he doesn't need to side-saddle it, and instead, drops straight into the reinforced chair, which has its maglocks engaged, as all chairs aboard the ship automatically, to prevent flying furniture.

Packard says, "OK ... before anyone else arrives, we are short on a lot of positions. "
He continues after pushing a padd to his Second Officer, "The only person coming to this meeting is our new Executive Officer. Darian will be missed but he saved our assets by sacrificing his life."
He adds, quietly, "just between us she turned down the Fleet Captain post. She was also an engineer before she went to command school. Not on your level though".

Raster's countenance falters for a moment at the mention of Masters and the incident he averted.

"...just like Darian. He never backs down. ...backed down. Aw, feck me." he mutters, as he brings a hug paw of a hand to his forehead. "He went out the way he wanted to- stopping bad guys with unstoppable force, and saving civilians. He's probably on a taskforce somewhere giving them tips on taking out
extradimensional threats before breakfast."

Raster closes his eyes for a moment.

Stands and pounds his chest, "While we were getting our new ship I returned to Andor. I taught my adopted clan the Spartans ritual for loved ones who crossed to the fields of Elysium. They taught me the Andorian litany of Death."
He says in a near whisper, "Captain Masters will /never/ truly be separated from us"
